International Yoga Day Celebration for the year 2024-2025

International Yoga Day, celebrated on June 21, is a global event that highlights the significance of yoga in maintaining a balanced lifestyle. This day brings together millions of people from various cultures and backgrounds to practice and appreciate the benefits of yoga.
Yoga is a holistic practice that integrates the mental, physical, and spiritual aspects of well-being. By embracing yoga, we not only improve our own lives but also contribute to the well-being of those around us.

On this International Yoga Day, our managing trustee, Surendra Dighe sir, organized a field trip to Shayog Mandir in Naupada, Thane. The event offered a wonderful opportunity for the students, teachers, parents, and trustees to come together and celebrate the essence of yoga.
Everyone, including our trustees, section head, teachers, and parents, actively participated in the yoga sessions. Students carried their own yoga mats and maintained discipline throughout the trip. All were inspired by the valuable experience and would make yoga practice a part of their daily routine.

Annual Exhibition of Science, Art & Craft of CBSE (PP)

On the 17th of February 2024, our school, SMT’s Saraswati English Medium School, organized
a science exhibition in the school. The primary aim of the exhibition was to emphasize and
elucidate the significance of science in our daily lives. Students from various classes in the
pre-primary section actively participated in this educational event.
The exhibition commenced with a grand curtain opening ceremony, presided over by our
esteemed Trustees, Agwan sir. Subsequently, it was made accessible for all students and
parents, leading to a crowded area filled with eager parents and enthusiastic students.
Teachers took charge of displaying learning materials and providing hands-on experiences
covering topics such as Mathematics, Language, Cognitive and Emotional (Sensory) aspects, as
well as Art and Craft. They showcased teaching aids and art/craft materials, enabling students
to explore their ideas and creativity through games related to the theme or by practicing with
the teaching aids. This not only helped students in brushing up their knowledge but also
provided parents with a clear understanding of the teaching and learning processes within the
school.
On the first floor, students from different classes presented experiments and models. For
instance, Jupiter class displayed projects on rainwater harvesting, acid rain, and water
purification. Neptune class focused on experiments related to the density of water, properties
of light, and magnetic fields. Meanwhile, Mercury class showcased models such as turmeric
pH indicators, water purification techniques, and balloon air pressure experiments.
An intriguing project/model titled "Chandrayan on Moon" (India on Moon), incorporating
robots and lights, was presented by a student from the Senior KG class. This captivating
display successfully captured the attention of the viewers.
Towards the end of the exhibition, our managing trustee, Mr. Dighe sir, accompanied by
Dighe mam and the section head, Mrs. Sangeeta Chavan, toured the exhibition. They assessed
the various models designed by the students and engaged in valuable mentoring. Dighe sir's
guidance imparted valuable knowledge to the students, helping them shape and nurture their
extraordinary creativity for a brighter future.
In conclusion, the science exhibition served as a platform for students to showcase their
talents, fostering a deeper understanding of science and its applications in everyday life. The
active involvement of trustees and teachers contributed significantly to the success of this
educational event.

Fancy Dress Competition - Sr. KG.

Fancy Dress Competition for Sr. KG.

Fancy dress competition not only blends learning with fun but also develops confidence in students by giving them an opportunity to speak in front of their own classmates.

Fancy dress play is more than just physically wearing a costume. Where in “Character,” children learn to role play. They learn to imitate the mannerisms of the character or object they are dressed up as, and may even create their own special traits and themes, which encourages children to “think out of the box.”

It encourages creative thinking and communication skills. It also helps children to development language & social skills.

Great Chef Day

Organising Great Chef Day with small children is a wonderful idea to celebrate International Chef Day with the theme of “No flame cooking” and inspire the next generation of chefs.

The goal is to create a positive and enjoyable experience for the kids while instilling a sense of curiosity and passion for cooking. We emphasize the importance of safety in the kitchen.

In this event parent and child come together and select recipes that are easy to make. Children are encouraged to follow the step-by-step instructions and guide them through the cooking process and to take the lead where appropriate.

After the cooking & presentation, we had a tasting session by our expert judge. This is to build their confidence and helps them to appreciate the results of their efforts.
